Hourly Comics 2024
A not-so-boring day illustrated
Behold, my hourly comics for this year! What are hourly comics, you ask? Each year on February 1st, artists around the world illustrate their day by the hour. This was my first time participating, and after scrolling through all the talented entries from last year, I was feeling a bit apprehensive. But, the best part of this exercise is that there aren’t really any rules. Also, reading about daily routines and what people think about just happens to be one of my favorite pastimes.
I had a pretty average day at work, but I tried to focus on conversations I found amusing or thoughts that had stood out to me. It felt like a challenge to be present and find the entertaining in the mundane. Even though the drawings took way longer than I thought, and I probably could have spent more time on them (or made them bigger, I don’t know why I made them so tiny), I had a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to do it again next year (or even sooner).
